MAT 130 - Modeling Your World (3)This course focuses on the application of computational tools to solve quantitative problems. To accomplish this goal, the course will introduce a variety of mathematical techniques to analyze and study real-world phenomena such as financial models, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. These mathematical concepts will be coupled with introductory computer programming skills; students will design and create software to implement mathematical solutions.
Prerequisite(s): Math test score of ACT 22, pre-2016 SAT 510, or new 2016 SAT 540; or successful completion of MAT100 or MAT118. Grading Method: Letter Grade Fee: Yes Term Typically Offered: Fall, Spring
