MAT 180 - Introduction to Calculus (4)

This course is designed to introduce one-variable Calculus concepts, theorems, and techniques and to strengthen knowledge of trigonometry and advanced algebra including rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Students will gain understanding of functions in preparation for the process of differentiation and integration. Topics explored will include an introduction to limits and continuity, derivatives, and definite integrals. Students are expected to develop effective problem-solving skills based on their understanding of the theory and not just memorize a set of routines to solve problems.

Prerequisite(s): Math Score in ACT of 22; pre-2016 SAT of 510; 2016 SAT of 540, or MAT 100 or MAT 118
Corequisite(s): MAT180L
