PSY 101 - Psychology & Everyday Life (3)

This course introduces students to the foundational principles of psychology, emphasizing the nature of psychology as a social-behavioral science through the examination of several specific areas including neuroscience and consciousness, development, gender and sexuality, memory, cognition/intelligence/language, stress and health, social, psychopathology, and therapy. Another principal objective of this course is to introduce students to the integration of Christianity and psychology. This is recommended for all PSY courses and required for some PSY courses. Fulfills the Social Sciences component of the Foundations Core and is required for students majoring or minoring in Psychology.
