MAT 255 - Financial Mathematics (3)

This course is designed to provide an understanding of the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics and how those concepts are applied in various settings in preparation for the Actuary FM Exam. Students will gain knowledge related to calculating present and accumulated values for various streams of cash flows as a basis for future use in reserving, valuation, pricing, asset/liability management, investment income, capital budgeting, and valuing contingent cash flows.

Prerequisite(s): Math score ACT of 22; pre-2016 SAT of 510; 2016 SAT of 540 or MAT 120 or higher.
Grading Method: Letter Grade
