EDG 542 - Reading Methods & Content (P-5) (3)

A study of current methods and materials useful in teaching children to read. Includes an emphasis on the development of reading and appropriate teaching strategies for the elementary school students in the development of lesson planning. Direct approaches to the teaching of reading, including phonics and other word identification techniques as well as comprehension strategies.
