Engineering Mathematics (Cooperative Program with University of Kentucky), B.A.

Asbury University will sunset the 3+2 Engineering Program with the University of Kentucky after the 2023-2024 academic year. New opportunities will be forthcoming. Please direct questions to math@asbury.edu.

Engineering Mathematics major policies.

  1. A minimum GPA of 2.5 must be maintained to participate in this program. Some engineering programs may have a higher GPA requirement. Consult the department chair for more information.  
  2. All Asbury University Foundations requirements, except Cross Cultural Immersion Experience (CCE 150EX  ), must be complete prior to transferring to the University of Kentucky. While CCE does not need to be finalized prior to transfer, CCE 150EX Immersion Experience requirement must be complete to receive the Asbury University degree.
  3. The University of Kentucky requires a comment on the Asbury official transcript indicating that Foundations requirements are completed prior to transferring to UK. The registrar’s office will add this comment only after all requirements are fulfilled. The student must request the official transcript with this comment to be sent to UK.
  4. Permission may be granted to take a limited number of University of Kentucky courses provided the student is enrolled full-time at Asbury (12 or more credit hours) in addition to any registered UK course. Per University policy, full-time Asbury enrollment is required for financial aid (full-time eligibility), athletic eligibility, campus housing, and international student status at Asbury.  For UK Class Registration see “Approved Affiliate or Partnership courses” under Academic Information for Undergraduates .
  5. Official University of Kentucky transcript with minimum 27 credits in engineering must be sent to Asbury University in order to receive the Engineering Mathematics degree.)

Traditional Undergraduate Foundations  

(3 hours Math and 4 hours Science satisfied by required major courses.)

Plus electives needed for the 124 hour Degree requirement (2)
