EQ 180 - Equine Careers (1)

This course offers an in-depth exploration of career opportunities within the equine industry, covering a broad spectrum of fields from horse management, veterinary medicine, training, equine assisted services, and many more. Students will gain insight into the skills, knowledge, and professional networks necessary to succeed in a variety of equine-related professions. Through a combination of lectures, guest speakers, and site visits, students will explore the roles of trainers, veterinary professionals, farriers, breeders, managers, and more.

The course will also address important industry trends, ethical practices, and the economic aspects of the equine business, with a focus on building a strong foundation for a successful career in this dynamic field. Students will leave with a clearer understanding of their career path and the practical steps needed to pursue their chosen profession in the equine industry.
