MNG 653 - Ministry Innovation through Music (3)

As music has been called the voice of theology, this course will explore how the church might innovate this voice in a complex, secular world. It examines the historical use of music in the life of the church, recognizing and appreciating the traditional role of music in worship. It seeks to move beyond the traditional to gain expressions of the human condition and the plight of humanity in order to integrate them into worship. It explores practices of innovation for ministry through the use of music, including strategic outreach to contemporary guilds who employ and appreciate its donation to cultural history.

Prerequisite(s): MNG501 and TYG510
Grading Method: Letter Grade
