PSY 323 - Integrating Equines Into Mental Health Services II (3)

This course will introduce students to the practice of EAMH services, including specific skills related to the practice of EAMH services, how to incorporate equines into mental health services safely and ethically, and how to consider other aspects unique to the farm environment that influence the therapeutic process. Students will learn practical aspects related to the management EAMH services and how these differ from traditional “indoor therapy services”. Students will gain hands-on experiences by participating in EAMH service initiatives at the AU Equine Center.

Prerequisite(s): PSY322
Grading Method: Letter Grade
