SWA 440 - Practicum II (8)

The student is placed for a minimum of 320 hours for the semester in a social services agency. Every effort will be made for a placement compatible with the student’s skills and interests. In addition, the student is to meet individually on a regular basis with both field and academic instructors. The practicum and required practice seminar provide additional opportunity for the student to integrate classroom knowledge with practical experience. The practicum is designed to give the student experience with individuals, groups, and organization in the agency setting. Assigned readings, process recording, and other tools are used to enhance the field practicum experience.

Prerequisite(s): SWA 410 or concurrently. Senior social work majors only.
Grading Method: Letter Grade
