SWA 402 - Social Welfare Policies (3)

To develop an understanding of the history, concepts and consequences of social welfare policies of national, state, local and agency organizations. Analyzes the effects on the functioning of social workers at various agency and governmental levels. Examines methods of achieving change in social policy as well as policy implementation.

Prerequisite(s): SW 100/SWA 100, SW 211/SWA 211 or SOC major.
