PNO 151 - Beginning Functional Piano (1)

Designed for non-keyboard music majors/minors who are beginners at the piano. Students learn to read piano music, developing two-hand coordination by playing two- and three-part studies. Other emphases include sight-reading melodies, harmonizing melodies using primary chords, transposing, and improvising. Class meets twice weekly.
