PM 420 - Denominational Polity/History/Theology (3)A study of the history, polity and theology of students’ denominational memberships. Students will survey the foundational work of the initial leaders of their denomination and trace its history to the present. Students will also explore the nature, meaning, and value of the organizational structure of their denomination and the exercise of authority within it. Finally, they will examine their denomination’s doctrinal and theological statements. As a part of this study, students will critically assess their personal compatibility with their ecclesial tradition.
