COM 351 - Persuasion (3)

This course examines persuasion and influence from both scientific and psychological perspectives. Basic persuasion tactics that are effective in changing attitudes and behaviors are examined in a variety of situations, and students apply learned techniques. Emphasis is also placed on learning from society’s masters of communication: commercial advertisers, experienced social action activists, and the political elite.
