BIO 217 - Environmental Science (3)

Provides a sound foundation in basic principles and unifying concepts of environmental science. Current environmental issues are also covered, with emphasis on the ecological, economic, and human health impacts of air and water pollution, global climate change, ozone depletion, acid rain, hazardous and solid waste, alternative energy resources, soils, deforestation, overfishing, biodiversity, and endangered species. Intended both for biology majors and non-biology majors.
