EQ 102 - Equine Studies II (3)

An introduction to various aspects of equine facilities, equipment, and management. Facilities and equipment used in the production and training of horses will be discussed with particular attention given to tack used in various disciplines of the equine industry. This course will also explore basic principles of equine business, including establishing a business plan and emergency/disaster planning, and basic principles of managing the daily operation of a stable, such as feeding and bedding.
